People residing in Nepal belong to different castes, religion and ethnic origins. They have different cultures and they observe different festivals. This diversity of caste, colors, religions, languages and cultures is our own identity. They are like different flowers in a garden. The beauty of the garden lies in the varieties of its

Our constitution has provided equal rights to all the citizens regardless of their race, language, culture, color, religion and gender. No discrimination can be made on the basis of caste, color, religion, language or culture. This has further helped strengthen national unity in Nepal.
So, national unity plays an important role in the progress of a country. National unity is very important to strengthen our nation. For this, everyone should constantly believe and remember that we are Nepalese first foremost regardless our racial, ethnic, geographical and religious differences.
